The EM500-CO2 is designed for measuring gas concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in harsh environments. It is useful in applications where knowing CO2 levels is important, such as greenhouses, building ventilation, and storage of fruits and vegetables. Additionally, it also supports temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure measurement.

Carbon dioxide is a byproduct of wine fermentation. Its density is greater than that of air, so it can easily spill out of the fermentation tank. When it reaches the winery floor, it creates fatal and undetectable pockets, posing a significant hidden safety risk for operators.
